Rent the Runway: Spring 2016

Spring has officially sprung, and I couldn’t be more excited. Spring fashion is definitely my favorite of all. The runways are full of florals, ruffles and bright colors galore — yes please!

Instead of breaking the bank and buying into this season’s trends, I can’t wait to rent the newest arrivals from Rent the Runway! Though I’ve only rented from their site once before, it was such a great experience that I’ve been itching to rent again.

The “Hearts” section of my RTR account is growing fast, with 100+ saved looks — should make things interesting once I actually go to rent!

How to Dress for Changing Seasons

It’s shaping up to be a warm winter… Thanks, El Niño! (Now that I actually know what it means when people say that…)

As a tribute to this unseasonable warmth, I’m throwing it back to a late September outfit: when it was supposed to be fall, but felt like summer! Whenever the weather is transitioning, it can be hard to decide what to wear.

For the not-too-hot, not-too-cold weather, I stand by two rules:

  1. Layers, layers, layers. If it gets too hot, you can take something off. Too cold? Put something back on! For this outfit I added a light, cotton scarf as my one and only layer.
  2. One long; one short. Pair a tank with pants or a long-sleeve with shorts! It will balance out the outfit without making you overheat (or freeze).
