And I’m back… Back from another brief hiatus, due to vacation and starting a new job! So instead of a Friday Fab Five, I’m sharing a new outfit post. Happy Friday 🙂
One of my favorite spots in Cincinnati is Hyde Park Square, so back when spring was changing over to summer, Carrington and I took full advantage. We grabbed coffee at one of our favorite spots, Awakenings, to fuel up for a mini photo and video shoot. Can’t wait to do it again soon!

SHOP THE RUNWAY:
It’s shaping up to be a warm winter… Thanks, El Niño! (Now that I actually know what it means when people say that…)
As a tribute to this unseasonable warmth, I’m throwing it back to a late September outfit: when it was supposed to be fall, but felt like summer! Whenever the weather is transitioning, it can be hard to decide what to wear.
For the not-too-hot, not-too-cold weather, I stand by two rules:
- Layers, layers, layers. If it gets too hot, you can take something off. Too cold? Put something back on! For this outfit I added a light, cotton scarf as my one and only layer.
- One long; one short. Pair a tank with pants or a long-sleeve with shorts! It will balance out the outfit without making you overheat (or freeze).
Tank: Anthropologie (comes in other colors!) || Pants: GAP (old – similar or similar) || Shoes: Target || Scarf: gift (similar) || Purse: Kate Spade
