I recently spent the weekend in Atlanta for a work-related trip. While there, I wore this *amazingly comfortable* Ohio shirt from The Direction, a new apparel and novelty shop at Kenwood Towne Centre.
So many people on the streets of ATL yelled “O-H” as I walked by. Of course, I responded with “I-O!” just as a good Ohio transplant would 🙂
There was an endless amount of beautiful spots in Atlanta, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a photo shoot. Here’s one of my favorite looks I styled with my uber soft and comfortable tee!
Top: The Direction c/o || Flannel: Old Navy (on sale now!) || Jeans: GAP || Boots: Express (similar) || Purse: Kate Spade || Watch: Michael Kors
The Direction is known for their super soft city and state pride apparel, but also sell novelty items in store, like coasters, mugs, jewelry and more. Needless to say, I’ll be back to pick up some gifts for my O-H-I-O friends soon.
You can check out their newest brick-and-mortar location at Kenwood by Nordstrom, shop online at shopthedirection.com or check out their Instagram for more of their fabulous tees.
Thanks Joelle (Le Cartier) for the beautiful photos. And special thanks to The Direction for the free t-shirt! As always, all opinions are my own.

You know when you spot something in the store and immediately know you’re going home with it in *almost* every color? That’s how I felt when I laid my eyes on this mockneck tank (the turtleneck’s little sister, if you will). Not only is it one of the comfiest basics I’ve ever owned, it’s super versatile and slimming… what’s not to love?
Though I showed some restraint and only got it in two colors, I’ll definitely be back for more mocktanks before the season’s over!
To show how versatile this basic piece really is, here’s one way to style it from day to night, featuring my other current obsession: olive green.
Mockneck: GAP || Vest: Old Navy (similar) || Jeans: GAP || Sandals: Target || Necklace: Kendra Scott
It’s 5 o’clock… time to change!
Simply swap the vest for a bomber jacket and the sandals for some open-toed mules, and you’re ready for a night out 🙂
Mockneck: GAP || Jacket: Francesca’s (similar, also in pink!) || Jeans: GAP || Mules: Old Navy (similar, on sale!) || Necklace: Kendra Scott

Next Saturday, Modern Makers and Urban Blooms are teaming up to bring Cincinnati’s most sustainable and collaborative fashion experience. Some of the designers include: Anastasiya Yatsuk of TextileHaus, Jackie Bertolette of RJ LUNA, Allie & Ashley Shartle of Twin Echo and many more.
I can’t wait to explore and network with local vendors, indulge in the city’s best food trucks and take in the main event down the moss catwalk. That’s right, a living runway!
Tickets are still available, but going quickly. So if you want to be part of this spectacular and unique event, join me & the ladies of Thread Cincinnati and get yours today.

No matter what the season, nothing is more classic than a black + white combo! Though the “white after Labor Day” cliche is looming, that’s never stopped me from wearing white all year long!
So whether it’s winter, spring, summer or fall, black + white is always “in” in my book 🙂

SHOP THE LOOK:
Let’s be honest: I love Nordstrom as much as the next person, but that #postgradlife means I can only really shop there if there’s a serious sale.
First, there was the Anniversary Sale, now it’s Summer Clearance time.
And don’t be fooled by the name: Just because it’s a summer sale doesn’t mean there aren’t great fall pieces marked down, too.
So here are some of my top picks to make your Nordstrom Summer Clearance perusing even easier (but maybe more expensive)!
Outerwear: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5
Bottoms: 6 // 7 // 8 // 9 // 10
Shoes: 11 // 12 // 13 // 14 // 15
Accessories: 16 // 17 // 18 // 19 // 20

Every time I go home is a treat, but my time spent in Buffalo is even better when I’m enjoying the tastes of home. Think Tim Hortons, Mighty Taco, Duff’s and more.
So when my parents suggested going to the National Buffalo Wing Festival, I was all in!
First, we did some walking around the city. For not having lived there for about 5 years now, a lot has changed… so I love a good exploration to catch up on what I’ve missed.
Then off to the main event. We dined on some of the most delicious wings from all across the country, and Buffalonians know wings.
And just when we thought there would only be locals in attendance, look how many people came from out of town!
All together, we tried 10 different flavors: Cajun Dry Rub and Buffalo Medium from Brew Brothers Grille, Goslings Black Rum BBQ and Garlic Parmesan from BrickHouse Tavern & Tap, Carribean Jerk and Asian BBQ from Curly’s, Dr. Pepper BBQ from Duff’s and Honey Sriracha Rub, Maple Bacon and Loaded Baked Potato from Boneheads Wing Bar.
Is your mouth watering yet?
So if you’re ever looking to make a trip to Buffalo (maybe to explore the breathtaking Niagara Falls) you should go to Buffalo Wing Fest… you won’t regret it. But maybe pack some heartburn medicine 😉
